I am the son of a son of a Chrysler man. My earliest memories are of in the rear facing back seat of the family's 63 wagon listening to the rumble of the 383. I have owned a dozen or so Mopars over the years, not always treating them to kindly. Here is my latest project of ten years finally finished, yeah right,a complete nut and bolt restomod.
About My Car(s):
67 Belvedere silver special. What started out as a quick makeover of an original paint 318 car grew into a restification that kept the old boy in the garage its first 4 years as time and budget issues conflicted with raising a family. After getting the car apart, it become apparent that a quicky wasn't going to happen.Every nut and bolt has been out of the car, some more than a few times, and upgrades include new front suspension with the addition of sway bars and disc brakes, a feel firm police box. A 440 found its way under the hood with a rebuilt 727 and 3:55 rear. The 440 suffered a siamesed bearing on a Saturday afternoon blast and sidelined the car again until a deal on a fresh 383 was located. The 383, while lacking the awsome torque of the hot 440, is a strong runner with 10.5 comp, 484 purple cam, 780 holley, Mopar electronic ignition and jet coated headers.The car now sports a fresh factory medium metallic blue basecoat/clearcoat paint job to go along with the vinyl top and rechrome bumpers and restoration chrome and trim. The LRE shown is currently spread out in the shop undergoing a transformation into a 318 magnun with EFI and 518 overdrive trans. I am into the wiring and fuel system work and the project is progressing slowly . Any input on sorting out the stock wiring harness from a 94 1500 PU would be appreciated. Thanks for looking and see you at the car shows and cruise ins around the Annapolis/ Baltimore areas.
Yup - the minute you decided in your head it's gonna be a quicky - you shoulda known it wasn't! lol. But boy - you've done a lot of quality work there - really looks great.
